Specialisation



P
ursuant to the formal amendment on 23 December 1994 of Rules 75, 91.1.4.1.2 and 91.1.5.4 of the Law Society, the Council resolved on 20 January 1995 that attorneys’ practices which are subject to the jurisdiction of the Law Society of the Transvaal may with immediate effect and on certain conditions hold themselves out as specialists in areas of the law.

A copy of the conditions is annexed for the information of all members, together with the cautionary notes which have also been issued by the Council in this regard.

Members are requested to adhere strictly to these conditions as well as the publicity guidelines issued by the Council. The publicity guidelines will shortly be amended to provide for firms to claim specialisation.
